If you install linux on a Supermicro board, you might want to use Supero Doctor utility, which allows you to monitor system health. The only disadvantage is if you would like to use that utility in a text module, you will not be able to receive e-mails etc. I wrote a script to perform this job.

I am currently using SquirrelMail to read e-mail, when I am away from my home. I have experienced a problem to read e-mails from Postnuke. The problem was in russian characters, that are displayed as gibberish, unless you change encoding for your browser. You have to agree that changing encoding all the time is very annoying. So I decided to solve this problem.

It has been suggested that this article is an adaptation of a series of (very funny!) pieces entitled the Bastard Operator from Hell, by Simon Travaglia. We're not really too sure one way or the other, as the original is from an email lost far in the mists of time.
